Luxembourg cityBenefit from your visit in Luxembourg and learn more about the country and what it has to offer. Tours have been organised to let you see all aspects of the country with an emphasis on architecture and urban design.  You will discover why this country is considered a European gem.

Tours include:

City tour by night – 20 May from 21:00 to 23:00

Join the city tour by night where you can enjoy the Old City , particularly the narrow streets around the Place d’Armes. This special tour should not be missed!

Architecture and Art at Kirchberg – 21 May from 10:00 to 12:00

Kirchberg district has numerous architectural treasures to see. Treasures include institutional buildings such as the EU Commission, the EU Parliament, the European Court of Auditors, the European Court of Justice.  Cultural building include LUXEXPO or the New Conference Center Kirchberg. Each building is unique with much to discover. Let yourself be carried away by the architectural beauty of this tour.

Oberweis Pastry – 21 May – from 10:00 to 11:00

The Oberweis brothers are true virtuosos of Luxemburgish sweet and savoury delights. These talented and inspired men carry on the culinary tradition of their parents by creating mouthwatering pastries and cakes. Oberweis offers timeless classics as well as creations linked to the seasons, constantly astounding gourmets from all over the world. The tour of the company will be guided by Tom Oberweis who will provide fascinating insights into their world famous pastries and cakes.

City tour: tunnel and water tower at Bonnevoie – 21 May from 14:00 to 17:00

UNEXPECTED LUXEMBOURG: IN THE TUNNELS!

The exciting tour begins with an above ground overview of the Tunnel.  It will continue underground, inside the tunnel which connects the Petrusse valley and Pfaffenthal. The Pfaffenthal Tunnel spans over 960 metres (1,049 yards) under Luxembourg City, providing water to most of the capital. During this tour, visitors will explore the Pfaffenthal spring and learn more about Luxembourg city’s history.

The tunnel is connected to different neighbourhoods and you will find several signs along the way that will show you the path to important parts of Luxembourg (for example: Boulevard Royal, the Grand-Rue, etc.). The tour ends with a visit to the “Kaltreis” water tower in Bonnevoie, a district in Luxembourg City. This water tower is especially interesting as it provides a large volume of the city’s drinking water.

Visit of the Casemates du Bock – 22 May from 10:00 to 11:30

The Casemates du Bock is the top touristic attraction in Luxembourg, with more than 100,000 visitors per year. Registered in the World Heritage List by UNESCO, its tunnels run like a maze and are a lasting memory of Luxembourg’s medieval past.

Study Tour Neobuild Innovation Center and IFSB – 22 May from 10:30 to 14:00

Visit two efficient buildings in Bettembourg. The first building is considered a low-energy class building. The second building is a nearly zero-emission building under construction (nearly finished), a totally innovative and experimental building.  Enjoy lunch between those two fascinating  sites.

Visit Caves Bernard Massard (winery) – 22 May from 14:00 to 17:00

With passion and dedication, Bernard Massard founded the “Domaine Bernard-Massard.” On this tour you will discover the secrets of the main wineries in Luxembourg, and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere along the Moselle River.
